J.D. Steinhilber founded AgileInvesting in 2001 based on his conviction that indexed investment verhicles combined with a disciplined asset allocation methodology produces superior investment results.

J.D. has 16 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to founding AgileInvesting, he was a Partner and Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department of J.C. Bradford & Co.   He graduated from the University of Virginia with a dual degree in Finance and Accounting.

J.D. is a recognized authority on ETFs and ETF portfolio strategies.  His articles and comments have appeared in Forbes, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Seeking Alpha.  He has also been a featured speaker at several ETF conferences.

In addition to publishing the AgileInvesting website, J.D. Steinhilber is the President of Agile Investments, a Registered Investment Advisor that manages ETF-based portfolios on behalf of clients.

J.D. serves on the Board of Directors and is Treasurer of Ten Thousand Villages - Nashville, a non-profit retailer of products produced by artisans in developing countries.
